How
do I use free domain locking?
Although we already securely manage domain
names, this free option allows you to lock your domain at the
Registry level. When you lock your domain, no one can transfer your
domain or make changes to the nameservers or contact information for
your domain.
If you need to update name servers or other
information, please unlock your domain name first. It can take up to
fifteen minutes to unlock your domain.

What is
ConsoliDate?
ConsoliDate allows you to select the date you
would like all of your .com and .net domain names to renew. Renewal
dates no longer have to be tied strictly to your initial registration
date. ConsoliDate will make it easier to keep up with renewal dates,
so they won’t be scattered across the calendar.
What is a
Domain Group?
Domain Groups make
managing
domain names easier. They allow you to group together multiple
domain names so that you can perform updates on multiple domains at
the same time. You can create as many domain groups as you like, and
add any number of domain names to a single group. You can even include
a single domain in more than one group.
What is
AccountExecs?
An AccountExec has an account separate from your
own. You can grant a user certain permissions to that account for
managing a group of domains. For example, you can make a staff member
an AccountExec so that the staff member can help you manage domain
names. You can give multiple AccountExecs access to a single
group, and you can give an AccountExec access to multiple groups.
What
is domain name forwarding?
Forwarding a domain name enables you to direct
incoming traffic from a parked domain to an already existing Web site.
When someone attempts to access your domain, their Web browser
automatically redirects them to your main Web site.
Forwarding with Masking prevents visitors from
knowing that they have been redirected by making sure that your domain
name remains in their Web browser's address bar. You can also add a
title and meta tags to your masked domain. Title and meta tag
information is important to a Web site’s search engine ranking, but it
does not change the look of your Web site.
What is masking?
Masking works with domain name forwarding.
Forwarding redirects all Web traffic for a domain to a specific URL.
When someone types your domain name into a browser, our system will
automatically forward or redirect them to whatever URL you choose.
Canceling a
Domain Name
Canceling a domain does not entitle you to a
refund of any part of your registration fee. Once you have canceled a
domain it is no longer registered to you. It will be listed as
available for others to register. This is a permanent action.
You may re-register this domain at a later time and for additional
registration fees.
